Dental Exams
We see all ages at our office. A comprehensive examination of your teeth, gums, and jaw is the first step in identifying how to keep you healthy. We will discuss your medical and dental history, listen to what your concerns and goals are, and help identify any issues you might have with your oral health. We also perform an oral cancer screening. We will discuss a treatment plan together to keep you as healthy as possible and help you accomplish any goals you might have for teeth and mouth.
Dental Cleanings
A regular dental cleaning is one of the most important things you can do for your dental health. Not only does a hygiene visit at our office keep your teeth clean, but also the structures that surround your teeth. For example, your gums and your bone that support your teeth. At our office, we will help identify how healthy your gums are and help you establish routine care that is right for keeping you healthy.
Cavity Prevention
At our office we will evaluate you for any risk factors that might predispose you to getting dental decay and help prevent cavities before they start. For example, If you have dry mouth, you have a higher risk of getting cavities. If we identify this, we may recommend aids to encourage more salivary flow in your mouth, or fluoride treatment after your hygiene visits. Another example is that we might recommend placing sealants on teeth, if you or your child have deep grooves in teeth that catch debris. At our office we value preventing dental disease before it starts.
Occlusal “Night” Guards
A night guard is an important device you wear while sleeping to help prevent your teeth from wearing down or breaking. It can also help ease or prevent issues you might have.
